WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO AT KERR LAKE

It could be a kid gnawing on a chicken leg in the edge of the water, a senior citizen walking briskly through one of the parks on Kerr Lake, or it could be someone lazily floating just off the shore of one of the lake’s many public areas.

It could be that special and magical fishing moment.
People ask us a lot, especially lately, why KERR LAKE PARK WATCH works so hard as a volunteer group on Kerr Lake issues like water levels and flow, or maybe the highly controversial coal ash spill.

We say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Look at this Kerr Lake beauty!  This 135 lb. Blue Catfish was caught and released yesterday (March 21) in Kerr Lake.  This fish was just 8 lb. shy of a new world record.

Another good reason, Kerr Lake Park Watch is in the business of Kerr Lake!
